Dear MENA-SINO Colleagues,
After continuing to monitor the current trajectory and impact of COVID-19, as well as the likely aftermath for our members in the months to follow the peak wave, the MENA-SINO Board of Directors has made the decision that it is impossible to move forward with holding the MENA-SINO Annual Meeting in Cairo.
The health and safety of our members and constituents, and the patients for whom they provide life-saving care, has been, and remains our main concern. Understanding the needs of our members and stakeholders, and supporting them to meet this challenge, is the #1 priority of the Society.
Therefore, the MENA-SINO 5th Annual Meeting as a live event is officially cancelled.
Just as our members are forging ahead taking care of patients, and providing vital service to our communities, MENA-SINO is forging ahead with its mission to provide outstanding educational content to our membership and the field. We are very excited to announce that the Annual Meeting Program Committee, led by MENA-SINO Program Chairs Mohamed Alaa and Farouk Hassan as well as our MENA-SINO scientific program committee , are hard at work crafting a compelling Virtual Annual Meeting.

It is great pleasure to welcome you to the 5th Meeting of MENA-SINO, organized by the Middle East North Africa Stroke & interventional neurotherapy organizations; the most significant stroke and neurovascular event in Africa and the Middle East. Egyptian Neurointerventionalists and stroke specialists are honored to be affiliated to this respected society which had been founded in 2013, and Since that time, the MENA-SINO is playing an active role in the progress of Stroke and neurointerventional practice on local, regional, continental and international levels.
We are truly fortune to have this meeting done in collaboration with the Cairo neurology society (CNS), Egyptian society of Stroke (ESS), Egyptian society of Neuroradiology (ESON) and Egyptian society of Neurological surgeons (ESNS). The scientific program is outstanding, with high standard courses, distinguished speakers from all over the world, and highly educational and fascinating presentations.
I strongly believe that these sessions and courses will guide our young neurointerventionalists and stroke specialists, expanding their intellects, strengthening their technical skills, introducing them to a new era with a brighter future.
My best wishes to all our guests to have a pleasant stay in this beautiful historical city, and to all of you to have a memorable gathering and a successful great event.
